Scutt and Coles is a privately owned textile design firm, designing, manufacturing, and supplying exclusive furnishing fabrics to the Interior Design trade. Launched in the Autumn of 2001, the business is run by Rod Scutt and Belinda Coles, a brother & sister team.
Recently exhibiting their first collection "Darnia" and as a first time exhibitor at Design Interiors 2002, Scutt & Coles were fortunate enough to be awarded the first prize for the 'Best Soft Furnishing Collection' at the show. The award was sponsored by the Association of Master Upholsters and Soft Furnishers and was judged by a panel of four judges made up of practising contractors and designers. One of the judges, Michael Gilham, from Gilains of Ilford, summed up why Darnia won first prize, "Darnia featured timeless designs of the past in bright fresh colours with a co-ordinating check. We felt that their Cascade trailing design was particularly attractive." Scutt and Coles is a member of Anti Copying In Design and the British Interior Textile Association.
